340 TWIN BARREL CUDA THIS IS THE VEHICLE THE AMERICANS ARE PAYING HUGE MONEY FOR A stunning frame off restoration , can only be described as SUPERB, you will win shows with this, one of my favourites. Plymouth finally got the performance angle right in 1970, The Barracuda was moved over to the E-body platform, which it shared with the new Dodge Challenger. Although the Barracuda rode on a two inch shorter wheelbase its overall body dimensions were the same. The performance models were called 'Cudas This vehicle is an original ‘S’ code CUDA and in 1970 it featured five different V8s, the 340, 383, 440, 440+6, and the almighty 426 Hemi. Standard Barracudas came with a flat hood, while 'Cudas came with standard dual non-functional hood scoops. Optional on all 'Cudas (and standard on Hemi's) was a very functional shaker scoop, so named because it attached directly to the engine, and poked up through a hole in the hood and thus ''shaked'' with the engine . The Hemi cost $871 more NEW and was installed on just 652 hardtops (out of 17,242) and only 14 convertibles (out of 550) One of the 14 convertible CUDA Hemi’s sold in 2006 for US $2.16 million at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale The CUDA has become something of an Icon for enthusiasts. The 440+6 was a bargain at just $250 extra NEW and could keep up with the Hemi to around 70 mph. Alas these big engines ended in 1972 with stiffening emission laws, the 340 became the CUDA’s largest factory engine, with a smaller 318 (5200cc) becoming an option PRODUCTION CEASED WITH THE OIL CRISIS IN 1974 THIS VEHICLE : 1972 CUDA GENUINE ‘S’ CODE 340 (5600CC) One of 7,828 'Cuda Hardtop Coupe: produced in 1972 Engines Available in 1972 318 V8 150 bhp.(SAE Net) 340 V8 240 bhp. RARE 'U' Code charger, superb MET Blue stunning condition NEWLY Imported into UK Purchsed from PRIVATE COLLECTION is USA, possibly the best charger in UK, A REAL HEAD TURNER, a similar vehicle made will be VERY hard to find A LITTLE HISTORY In 1967 Dodge added the 440 cubic-inch Magnum to the Charger model line. With 375 horsepower, it was a cheaper option than the Hemi, easy to tune, and came standard with the R/T package. The 318 cubic-inch was still the standard option with the 426 Hemi the top-of-the-line producing 45 horsepower and 490 foot-pounds of torque. The production total for the Charger in 1967 was around 15,000 with 118 of those selecting the Hemi engine. The 1968 Charger was redesigned, now with hidden headlights and a curvy body. The design was a success and sales soared to over 92,000 units. The Hemi option was available, with around 470 buyers opting for the option. The R/T package was a popular option with 17,665 buyers. Standard on the R/T performance package was the 440 Magnum engine producing 375 horsepower. For 1969, Dodge decided to make only minor improvements to the Charger. The grille now had a chrome center divider. Two new Charger models were available. The Charger 500 was a performance machine with some styling cues similar to the Dodge Coronet. The big news was the Dodge charger Daytona which is easily identified by its larger vertical tail stabilizer and front nose extension. With just over 500 examples of the Daytona produced, the $4000 vehicle was available with either the Hemi or the 440 engine. The Charger was redesigned in 1970 and became available in new colors. The SE version added leather seats and an electric sliding sunroof. Dodge introduced the 440 Six Pack which featured three Holley two-barrel carburetors and produced 390 horsepower. In total, there were just over 10,300 Chargers sold in 1970 with 42 of those sales including the 440 Six Pack and 116 opting for the Hemi.

This is a rare original 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. I have never seen another surviving R/T that is red on red. Engine: 440 c.i. bored .30 over with steel crank (turned .10 over), new pistons, new hv oil pump, and comp cams version of the mopar performance purple cam, new valves(spiral cut), valve guides, hardened seats, and valve springs. The motor was built from the ground up last summer and the drive train has only break-in time and about 50 miles since then.a new pro-comp electronic distributor and new Holley 750 cfm polished carb. The engine runs very strong and sounds great with full length 3'' aluminized exhaust from Summit. It will run fine on normal petrol but it will launch you with racing fuel. It has the original 727 (numbers matching) trans with a shift kit that works great. There are very low miles on this since it was completley overhauled as well. The fluid and filter have only 50 miles on them. The body is EXTREMELY good with fresh paint about 6 months ago. The floor and trunk pan are rust free and the fuel tank is brand new. Plus a new white vinyl top was installed 2 months ago. The front end was also overhauled with all new steering components and bushings. Four new gas shocks have been installed as well. The brakes have new brake lines, wheel cylinders and master cylinder and work great. As far as interior it is nearly all new as well. The seat covers, carpet, headliner, package tray and even the center console has just been replaced. It has the original radio but the face plate is missing (hard to find). But that is all it needs. The oil pressure and temp gauge have been replaced with aftermarket gauges under the dash just because I do not trust them when it comes to the motor. The original tic toc tachometer works as well as the speedometer and ampmeter. This car was bought form previous owner, who owned it for over 20 years he was the third owner. The fender tag is intact and confirms it is an original R/T car 440 hp 727 trans . A rare 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Sports Coupe. This is 1 of 4282 built. It was built in Lansing, Michigan on November 29th/30th where it was purchased in JANUARY this year and exported to UK This is one of the cleanest 1968 442 Sports Coupes in existence. It just underwent a VERY complete, correct, and professional $$$$$ (near $30k) restoration. Done by perfectionists, this was meant to be nothing but the best all around. This ULTRA CLEAN 442 was refreshed from the ground up and it was done to extreme detail. The $$$$$ was spent because of its original clean condition. This 442 has ZERO RUST. The upgraded 455ci engine was fully rebuilt with an Edelbrock Carb/Manifold along with many internal upgrades and a new Complete Stainless Flowmaster exhaust system. This engine puts out over 400 HP and it runs out great. There is a tachometer in the dash and also an oil pressure gauge and temperature gauge mounted below. The Factory 400 transmission was rebuilt with upgrades and has a cooler. It shifts nice and strong. The suspension was all redone and is tight. The Power brakes were rebuilt and work as they should. The Original rust free Teal Blue Iridium body was repainted at a cost of $16,000, and there was no metal replaced AT ALL. This was done at a reduced rate for the hours spent. This 442 was completely disassembled and ALL the trim was removed and polished (very nice condition). This car was block sanded for 100's of hours to the point of looking as smooth as GLASS all over. It was painted in December 2006. There are no chips, dents, dings, nothing,This 442 is ALL METAL and it looks as good in person as it does in the photos. The interior dash and all jams were also freshly painted, as were the original SSII wheels which are riding on Brand New Red Line Tires (spare wheel/redline included). The interior is all original and is in amazing condition. The original Bucket Seats have no tears, rips or separations, nor do the back seats. There is no fading, cracking, etc. They are supple and excellent. It retains the Original Sport Steering Wheel, which is very nice. It was ordered with the Deluxe Retractable seatbelts. The original console is in terrific shape as is the shifter with the wood grain handle. The carpet is brand new. The trunk is perfect as is the trunk lid (with the optional light). The engine bay is also excellent and the hood is perfect. There is not even any surface pitting on any of the metal that was repainted on this car, not even in the jambs, rails, lips, or anything… this is a SHOW AND GO 442. The underside is CLEAN & rust free. I did not even have it repainted because it looks so good and it is all original. When you look at vehicles with fresh undercoat bottom you never know what they could be hiding, but there is nothing being hid here (see photos). The rear end is the optional 3.08 with Positraction. This 442 hooks up strong and drives out great with the power steering. It also has factory ordered cruise control which is very rare on these 442's from what I understand and nearly on any car in 1968 for that matter. It was also ordered with the highly desirable Air Conditioning which is not hooked up. This is an investment quality 442. The 1968 model was the first year the 442 became its own model and they are valued higher than the 1969. This is optioned like a High retail car and it is in High retail condition, but priced realistically ''Rapidly appreciating in value'' as we all know. Just imported, appreciating classic Stunning condition

Losing its reputation in 1967 could have been considered a fatal blow to the GTO's image. But DeLorean and Bill Collins already had a more than suitable successor ready. They believed with the right hardware, GTO enthusiasts would soon forget multiple carburetion. In the spring of 1966: ''We took liberty with the initials GTO and came up with TGO -- The Great One.'' Drawing on the GTO's image with the ''kids on the street'' and the reputation the GTO had earned as the premiere musclecar, The Great One campaign was built around the 1967 model..There were four engine choices, all now displacing 400 ci. this was the first time the 389 had been enlarged since 1959. The base 400 was rated at 335 hp at 5000 rpm. This engine was quite similar to the standard 1966 GTO engine, and utilized the same air cleaner, camshaft profile, valve springs and exhaust manifolds.A no cost option was a low-compression, small-valve 255 hp 400 .The new 360 hp 400 HO. The HO featured an open-element air cleaner, a slightly bumpier camshaft and cast-iron exhaust manifolds. At the top of the ladder was the Ram Air engine, also rated at 360 hp. All the usual Ram Air goodies were there like the open scoop ornament and the foam-lined tub around the carburetor, Inside, the Ram Air was a carbon copy of the 1966 XS engine, right down to the 744 cam and stiff valve springs and dampers. Put in on the drag strip in street trim and closed exhaust and The Great One could pull the quarter in 14.11 seconds at 100 mph. Breathe on it just a little by advancing the timing, loosening the belts and bolting on a set of cheaters and times would drop to 13.72 seconds. That was almost 0.5 seconds faster than the 1966 Tri-Power GTO. Mated to the new 400 engine was a new transmission option, the three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic, The M40 Turbo Hydra-matic was a strong, gusty transmission that could handle the torque and shock of the powerful GTO engine. An automatic transmission was favored not only by the older, more sophisticated buyer, but also by the drag racer, who knew the automatic tranny would make him more consistent in the quarter mile. The Hurst Dual Gate shifter was standard equipment. Introduced in the early 1960s, the Dual Gate was picked up by Pontiac for use in 1967 , The Dual Gate allowed the driver an easier driving experience, A positive latching mechanism prevented missing shifts, Hurst claimed their new Dual Gate would ''switch a lot of manual-shift lover over to automatic.'' He wwsight. For the first time in GTO production history, automatic transmission-equipped models outsold the stick-shift versions by roughly 3,000 units. Although the GTO faced increased competition, it retained a panache and style all its own, Pontiac would field a GTO ad titled, ''Others have caught on, but they haven't caught up.'' That ad was more than just advertising hype. It was a statement that rang true on the street, at the drive-ins and the drag strips across America. Dedicated men like Pete Estes, John DeLorean and Jim Wangers had poured their very souls into the GTO; it was one of the reasons no other car had its unique character. THIS IS ONE OF ONE. MY FRIEND PARTED WITH OVER $180,000 FOR THIS SHELL, I HAVE ALL PROVANENCE & DETAILS THIS IS TRULY A CHANCE TO BUY A BIT OF HISTORY WHY OWN A COPY WHEN YOU CAN HAVE THE REAL DEAL THIS IS A REAL AC COBRA PLEASE LOOK AT PICTURES TO WITNESS VIN PLATE, ETC ETC SOME HISTORY on AC & SHELBY While racing in Europe and North and South America throughout the 1950s, Caroll Shelby cherished one dream; building the world's fastest sportscar. By 1956 he had already come up with a name for his car, it would be named Cobra. Soon after his 1959 24 Hours of LeMans victory for Aston Martin, Shelby was struck by heart problems. Reluctant to do so, he was forced to give up motor racing as a driver. This did give him time to make his dream come true. Early in the 1950s John Tojeiro designed small sportscar, which was sold under the AC Ace name. Installed in the simple but effective tubular chassis was the Bristol 2 litre six cylinder engine. This unit was derived from BMW's 328 engine and its design dates back to 1919. Its lightweight chassis and body, and effective engine made the Ace a moderately successful racer. When Bristol announced that the 2 litre engine would be phased out, AC was left without an engine to power the Ace. Previous attempts to install other engines, like American V8s had failed miserably and the end of the Ace production was announced. When Shelby read about the end of the AC Ace, he immediatly contacted AC and his long time associates Ford. He convinced AC to continue constructing the Ace and Ford to supply special versions of their Fairlane engine for installation in the AC chassis. Shelby flew over to the UK to supervise the construction of the prototype chassis, which featured modifications designed by Shelby to ensure the hybrid would be driveable. Although the displacement of the Ford '260' V8 was more than twice as large and the initial 260 bhp output almost twice as large as the Bristol's, the Ford unit weighed less. Main diffuculty in incorporating American V8 engines was their rather high torque figures. The rear-end needed considerable modifications to handle the torque produced by the Ford. With the beefed up rear suspension, the AC chassis took to the Ford V8 engine surprisingly well and after extensive tests 100 chassis/bodies and Ford V8s were ordered. Shelby's Cobra was born! The V8 Ford engines were derived from the ones used in the Fairlane and Fairlane 500, but they were delivered to Shelby in a somewhat 'tweaked' form. Breathing through a single Holley Carburetor and fitted with 'hotter' cams, solid tappets and larger ports, the V8 was good for around 260bhp. For competition use Shelby modified the engine even further. With an increased compression ratio and breathing through four twin-choke Webers figures of 335 bhp could be achieved, with the engine revving up to 9000 rpm. Stunning performance was the result of this very powerful engine, which is reflected by the acceleration and top speed figures. Had Shelby succeeded in building the world's fastest sportscar? In the mean time, the world's largest manufacturer and Ford's biggest competitor, General Motors worked intensively on building their fastest GT-racer yet. Dubbed Sting Ray, the fastest Corvette to date was set to make its debut at the 1962 Riverside 3-hour race for Grand-Touring cars. Coincedently Shelby's workshop was around the corner of the Riverside track and his competition Cobras were about ready to make their debut as well. So in a weird twist of fate, both GM's and Ford's latest racers made their debut in the same race. In qualifying Shelby took the wheel of one of the two Cobras entered and shocked the crowd and even more so GM's racing division by lapping over four seconds faster than the fastest Sting Ray. In the race Bill Krause had built up a lead of over 30 seconds in the first 30 minutes. He was forced to retire when a wheel came off and in doing so he handed the victory to one of the Sting Rays. A legend was born that day, but it wasn't the Sting Ray! Vowing to decimate the Sting Rays in the following season, Shelby and his Cobras took part in the first US manufacturers' championship in 1963. The Cobra's dominance was total and Shelby took the title with 111 points over Ferrari's 28 and Chevrolet's 19. All but one of the seven races of the championship were won by a Cobra. During the season, the Cobra received a full FIA homologation, which made it eligible for the World Championship races. Around the same time a new Ford engine became available; the 4.7 litre '289', which in competition form was good for at least 340 bhp. Two of the new FIA homologated 289 engined cars were prepared for the most important round of the World Championship; the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Ford was not very cooperative, but the hardtop equipped cars were ready in time to be handed over to AC Cars in the UK and Ed Hugus in the US. In the high speed race the roadster's biggest problem was its poor aerodynamics, which limited is top speed considerably. Eventually the British car finished seventh overall and fourth in class behind three Ferrari 250 GTOs. The American car was forced to retire after one of the con rods pierced the engine. Although the Cobra's first outing at Le Mans did not prove as successful as its American campaign, it did learn the team a valuable lesson. In the 1964 running a special low drag coupe version was campaigned, which solved the roadster's problems and ended Ferrari's dominance in the GT class. The Rest as they say is HISTORY This vehicle is built by AC its an original and virtually impossible to find anywhere in the world... ALL THE ORIGINAL SHELBYS FROM THE SIXTIES, ARE AC's, its as simple as that, this vehicle is ONE of ONE, you won't get it again

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL BEL AIR RARE 4 door, even rarer SOFT DASH, Absolutely stunning CHEVROLET BEL AIR 1957 The man responsible for the '57 Chevy was stylist Harley Earl, he created a car which became an American classic. Earl's philosophy was to make cars lower, wider and longer, with the large rear fins, hood fins and large side spears to embellish the looks. The grille was huge, gaping for air into the engine, which actually sat way back from the car's front. The most famous V8 ever, the small-block Chevy, was used under the hood , at this time had grown to displace 283 ci (4.6 litres), from the original 265 ci (4.3-litre) in '55. This engine gave the Bel Air very good performance for the day, and even the handling was ahead of the competition, a double wishbone front and leaf sprung live rear axle were fitted.
